Sept 1st is the day for a 2p/ltr increase.
At the moment in Poole we are paying about 106p/ltr which equates to £4.82/gal, another 2p/ltr makes it £4.90.30/gal so we are getting nearer to the £5/gal.
In my case I get about 25-27/gal, thats keeping just above the lorry speed of 56mph (90Kmh) to improve consumption, so my costs are close to £20/100mile. Next week I start our trip to Spain, 1000+ mile, hopefully I will be paying less each way than £200 we pay in GB, at 90p/ltr in France about £185 each way.
Our use of toll Autoroutes is very infrequent, starting at LeHavre we can get into Spain over the Pyrennes without paying tolls making use of free Autoroutes.
