Some of you may recall my enquiries about Walton on Thames C.C. Cub site and my invitation to say hello to me if you came in Aug/early Sept. I arrived with my daughter who went into the hospital for her brain surgery and things were going well. However 5 days after her major surgery she had a stroke and lost the use of all the right hand side and her speech was slurred. She made steady progress and stayed at the same hospital transferring to the Rehab Unit before being sent to our local hospital in Ilfracombe late November.I stayed on the site in my van untill they closed on 2Nov and they were very kind and helpfull to me. My daughter continues to make progress and i thank goodness for my van without which i dont know what i would have done. Carol Slinn

nice to hear a reasonably happy outcome and we hope she fully recovers.

would have cost the price of a van to stay in hotels for that long im sure.

Hi Carol

Good to hear from you again, pity you did not get the outcome we all hoped for, but good to hear that your daughter is now progressing.

Hope all continues well.

Glad to hear your daughter is on the mend, it sounds like you've had a testing time.
