Getting the hang of it from 2017
Hi,
Thinking of entering the pond, we are totally new this world and would like to browse the various forums hope to be guided by the wealth of information and knowledge on here. Saying all that we have camped a lot over the years, so perhaps not totally clueless.

We are looking for a end bed type over a garage, 2 berth, looking at new, Europeian make, would consider second hand or nearly new, cash buyer budget of 50

We are based in the SW of Surrey and mainly a serial lurker on forums.

Thanks

Welcome! If you want to try it, you can potentially save a lot of money by importing your MH. Quite a few on here have done it successfully and there is a lot of advice on here. Search for "importing" though I suspect you may need to join to use the search facility. You don't have to go very far, there is at least one dealer in Belgium who is familiar with UK buyers.

Greetings whilst we have had a touring caravan for 20+ years we have just bought our first motorhome and are waiting for the delivery

How many of you are there ??

We looked at 2 berths and after years of a 4 berth caravan felt cramped in it (YES I know some folk go in tiny VW sardine tins)

But the way we made a list of what we wanted from bed /shower/toilet/ fridge size/ etc then narrowed it down to 10 things

We got 9 out of 10 when we chose the Roadstar 800 to us it just felt right as soon as we went in

Burstner have some seriously good ones to that spec. Be very very careful when buying, they usually sacrifice cooking area and lounge space for bed space. Burstner do a brilliant compromise.

Got one.
Its a Weinsberg Caraloft 550mg, had it few months now just spent a week doing a small tour of Wales.
Started at the CCC site near Hereford, the on to a very small site called Graig Wen near Barmouth. Then finished off with 2 nights at Windmill site near Tenby, before being driven off the trip by pouring rain last week.
Next is a trip to have the alarm fitted beginning of September
