My post count seems to be stuck having answered quite a few threads this evening the post count has suddenly ground to a halt at 11871 I have replied to many threads and it is not incrementing.

I think your count is going up for sure but not one at a time, maybe it has a bit of lag

The post counters in threads are not counted in real time. To preserve processor performance they run every few minutes or so.

it seems to go up once every 4 or 5 posts, never mind, not really important, just evidence of a site/software glitch

This appears to be a bit more than just a delay on my count. I took a page shot last Thursday when my count was 8728 posts. Today seven days later my count is 8732 which has recorded just 4 posts in a week.

Now checking my posts for same week I make it 63 posts since last Thursday. If I am correct then my count lost 59 posts into the ether for this week alone. I could of course be wrong.

There is nothing wrong with the post count. Posts in the U shaped lounge are NOT counted toward your totals.
