Hi All,

We're looking for some advice on an overnight stop somewhere nice on the South Coast in the Portsmouth, Chichester area.

We've recently purchased our first motorhome, an Elddis 130 Autoquest, and are looking to spend our first night out fairly close to home. I've looked at some of the CL sites around Chichester (anyone used Cobwebs?) but due to work it would mean a very late arrival time.
Having read many of the threads on this site I quite fancy trying out the 'wild' side of camping.

I've lived in the Portsmouth area for ages but have never needed to look at overnight rules.!!

Any suggestions would be greatly received,

Cheers :thanks2:

Hi
If its a CL site you want we always use this one, you need to be self sufficiant
but for a short break its great.:thumb:

If you want to try Wild camping we often stop over at Hayling Island,
go over the bridge and look for the ESSO garage on the right,
turn in immediately at the end of the garage, Victoria Rd
down the lane past the height restricted parking and onto
the car park at the end, this can get busy with wind surfers
but does get quiter in the evening, great sunsets,
good for a bit of fishing as well.:thumb:

Hope this helps

Cheers
