Portinscale road keswick? (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if this is still ok to use for overnight camping
Pc ant find any campsites in keswick for this weekend, all booked up

we parked there this year, there were no signs stopping overnighting, but we were only using during the day

nice pub in Portinscale for food about 1/2 mile, or Keswick across the footpath through the fields about the same

I would risk it, but it was really busy with cars when I went, took last space, do not go right to the end there is nowhere to turn, there is a gateway near entrance turn in there and back down

There’s a big layby on the right, just off the A66 just before you get to Braithwaite from Keswick, it’s actually the old section of the ’66 before the road was upgraded. Seen a few vans overnighting on there and just a short walk into Portinscale or Braithwaite but you have to get there early to bag a spot.
