On our way to Spain for a month or two. As a backup to our existing Truma heating in our AS Kingham l have a small quartz heater 220//240v...800w that l want to use when on hook up only. Do any fellow funsters know if this is compatible with Spanish electric mains? Once more many thanks in anticipation.

We have been using UK appliances on hook up in Spain for the past three months.
You should not have any problems. You will need a 2 pin adapter.

That will be fine, we use ours sometimes which is 1000watts as long as you have 10amp power and be careful what other items you use, besting in mind that the fridge and battery charger is on.
We switch off the battery charger on those occasions, just for a little while as the batteries don't need charging 24/7.
On la torreta in Benidorm they have a 4 kilowatt allowance per day so we will be using gas then .

Yep it will be compatible BUT you will need to change the plug to a 2 pin or use an adaptor.
NOTE... If you use a 3-2 pin adaptor check the rating on it as there are some that are rated for low wattage use.. so just double check.. Be aware the Electric costs on some sites can be expensive and soon add up when using even a small heater..

Just to be sure the adaptor you want is for your hook up lead, not the fire itself.

:xdoh:

I cocked that one up...!!!!
Was thinking about using mine in the apartment... Of course the van will be 3 pin socket same as plug on fire..!!!!

I need a holiday...
