Hi looking to buy a portable air conditioning unit, We are looking at MightyKool or Transcool. Has anyone had one or could recommend the best. Thanks

Personally I wouldn't waste my money.. both these are small personal coolers, using evaporators not compressors, so won't work well in high humidity ..

better buy would be an Endless breeze fan.. about 1/4 the price

that's my opinion.. others may say differently

Bought a Transcool at the NEC show. Not had chance to use it in the motor home as not experianced any warm weather since!
It is used frequently in our bedroom at home. We add a few drops of Albas oil, then leave running for about an hour on the lowest setting, prior to bedding down. (Apparently the Aussies put citronella in theirs to keep the mosquitos away?)
The room is fresh and crisp when ready to go to bed.
Hearing it at the show I didn't realise how loud it is, especially when on full power. I imagine and hope that in warmer climates, left running in the van, will certainly reduce the temperature.
Overall I am happy with the unit.
