You could have put several item on each thread, rather than started lots of different ones or alternatively after you'd done the initial ones, just put links to them all on one thread and only occasionally put a new post on that single thread to update what's still available and just delete any that have been sold.

You've probably dismissed it sometime in the past. I've now made it so it can't be dismissible, so you should see it now.

I meant delete the original thread for the item that's been sold rather than change the heading to sold as that just makes it 'pop up' again.

I decided to view for sale items once and if I'm not interested then they get put on my ignore list as a result of the earlier plethora of for sale items!

Jim, I'm trying to add classifieds to my alert threads - how do I do it so that I get an email alert as soon as a new classified is added? (Like the emails you get when someone's posted after you on a thread)

Have sent a pm to Jim ringleader but not had reply yet.

Click on the 'Watch Thread' link at the top of the thread.. for each advert you want notified about .. you then have the choice.. with or without email

Going back to striking through or deleting when an item is sold I would have thought it would have been better to strike through as it demonstrates the benefit of using the classified ads whereas if an item is deleted it appears that nothing ever sells. Even if it bumps it up it will soon move off the page with the amount of threads / posts.

Could you add another category to For Sale, Wanted, or Sold which is "Withdrawn". My van has not sold and so I want to withdraw it from sale for the time being. Eventually I will want to re-advertise it so could then re-mark it for sale and edit the advert. If this is not something that happens then leave it for sale and I will just PM them to advise that it has been withdrawn from sale.

Just change it to sold. If you want to put it back on sale change it back
