I'm a man of limited wealth and taste!.............

    Greetings.

On Monday I pick up a new Kontiki669!! Having planned a Monoco type RV for some years my wife and I have finally decided on a Swift.

One early question to the panel:

Is there a source for sites which favour the larger/longer mobile home? I'm thinking of a list of sites which do not have tight hairpin bends or Cornish one track high hedges and do not sniff at 9m campervans.

    thanks in advance

Ah, that explains the Swift. Had you not been so inflicted you would have bought a Burstner.

I guess that would depend on the size of a man's drive.

Some have huge ones and some are not so lucky in the drive department.

Well the good news is the Kontiki DOES fit through the gates an into the drive

It drives very well and was not put off by fair winds over the severn bridge.

    'nother question:

There is a button on the dash by the (auto) gear lever - it looks like a truck with a weight over the rear wheels and an indication of an angle. Anyone know what it does?

The truck objected to being slowly backed up the drive and said "clutch" {? as it automatic} and certainly smelt a bit clutchy for a while. I've no choice but to go slow as I had a bout 2cm either side:Eek!:

    cheers
