sophia gardens has a camp site. its the only one in town. its about 2 - 2 1/2 miles from the arena ( i assume you mean the motopoint arena ) so prob a taxi as its not an easy walk if you dont know the way, and about 800 meters from the Millennium stadium.

Stayed there a few days ago, very nice site, and friendly and welcoming staff. Seemed really handy for everything in Cardiff. It was quiet at the beginning of Jan but I would guess it gets very busy in the season, especially if there is something on, and if I was going for something in particular I would book ahead.

there is a quiet cl with hardstanding out of town on the west side about 10 mins. but you would need a taxi to and back.

Recommend you use the site in the centre.

Sophia Gardens park is on the doorstep. Cardiff Castle and Bute Park are a short stroll away. Also close by is the Water Bus which leaves from near the Millenium Stadium and sails down the river to Cardiff Bay which is also worth a visit.

It is also easy to reach Cardiff City Centre shops on foot if you have the time and the inclination.
