Can anyone suggest a method of cleaning off pine sap from canopy. Unfortunately had to use canopy under pine trees in Croatia, as it's too hot and have now got several deposits of pine sap, which I would like to remove. Help please before the wife kills me!

Hiya, if you google 'pine sap removal clothes' there is an abundance of ideas to remove it from material including olive oil & alcohol !! but as always test a little area first.

Pine sap as in pine resin? The clear orangey stuff that sets hard?

If the MH wasn't at home I'd be tempted to pour icy water onto it to make it brittle then scrape it off. Haven't tried that myself but cooling works for other sticky gummy things. Failing that, a solvent like isopropanol.

Just googled it and apparently tea tree oil does a great job. WD40 works too.

whatever you use, dont roll the canopy back in till its clean and dry or it will ruin it totally
