I have an Elddis 175 of a 2013 plate. when I turn the cruise control on the green light appears on the right, however the radiator water light and air bag lights also come on dim. It all works ok but just wondered if this is a known issue or a return to Peugeot under guarantee?

Sounds like,a bad earth connection , but if vehicle is under warranty, don't hesitate take it back and let them sort it.

Mine was exactly the same, known problem with the instrument panel. Book it in to a Peugeot dealer if it's still under warranty. They changed mine, took a couple of hours.

So vehicle now booked in for a check. Can anybody tell me the service requirements on the vehicle. When I bought it I was told service every 2 years. Looking in the book it says interim service every 12 months, the year after the full service. Just worried that Peugeot will try and get out of a claim as the 1st year interim service wasn't undertaken by the first owner

Unless they can prove that missing a service caused the failure of the dash then you have nowt to worry about

There are so many scare moungering snippets told by dealers they are I think missing out on a good alternate career as fiction writers !

Thanks JAWS, initially didn't mention bringing in the service book. So will wait for them to ask for it. Just that you hear so many stories of no service no repair.

I think that is only on UK supplied vehicles to cover the cost of the 3rd year warranty, standard Fiat servicing is 45oookm (28ooo m) don't think there is any time limit apart from recommended changes of belts etc.

Yesssss.. often hear the stories from either dealers or numpties who believe anything they are told !! LOL !!!
Folk like your self who actually ask the question seem rare nowadays.. folk who just go on hearsay and a mate down the road who has a sister in the army whose hairdresser said seem more and more common !

I've got a coming up to 3 year old Boxer, same situation as yours, in fact my first service was at an independent garage so was unknown to Peugeot, they replaced my panel with no questions asked, must admit was pleasantly surprised, thought i would have a battle on my hands!

Been to Peugeot today, most disturbing issue is that my vin number comes up as a Renault trafic and not a Peugeot boxer, unless there is a clone!!!. The good news is they have ordered a new instrument cluster to change it out.

We had same issue on our 2013 Marquis Majestic 175. Took it to Peugeot main dealer and the instrument cluster was changed under warranty. I did have to go back same day as they forgot to reset the mileage and it was flashing as 3 miles!! Five minute job with computer to reset to correct mileage and all ok. Thanks everyone for bringing it to our attention.

Hoping somebody can confirm. Have had the instrument panel changed. When I turn on the cruise control the light illuminates green regardless of the cruise control being engaged or not. On my car when it is turned on its white and goes green when engaged. Is this correct on the Peugeot boxer?

Correct. When you turn the cruise control on the light on the lower right (?) illuminates and stays illuminated until you twist the cruise control to off. The dashboard message panel also shows "Cruise Control On \ Off" when you twist the control on and off.

Be aware that the issue is not yet resolved. We've just had our second replacement fitted. Our Fiat service manager said he can't understand why they keep fitting them, since they haven't yet found the root cause. They are getting lots of repeat failures. And it's not just across the Ducato/Boxer range - it's common across the Fiat range a cars as well.

Just posted this on another thread.
I have just had the instrument display changed under warranty on my 2014 Peugeot Boxer, ABS and Fuel filter lights came on when cruise control switched on. Known fault on Ducato / Boxer vans. Garage said its because of corroded contacts, but that may be just BS on their part. The bill (which Peugeot picked up) was £627 + Vat

I've had three replacements all under warranty and I guess there will be more! It's a complete pain and waste of time. Surely they must have found the cause by now. Even a totally different looking panel has the same fault.

I have just had exactly the same issue with my 2011 Ducato. Fiat wanted the full service history and then claimed it was incomplete and refused the claim. A few days later, they came back to me wanting to know what was happening on the claim. Although well out of warranty a new instrument cluster has just been fitted at Fiat’s expense. As I was picking it up another came in with the same issue. At a Fiat Professional, the part is just over £500 and the total bill would have been £680. It must be costing Fiat/Peugeot/Citroen a considerable amount but they have to get rid of their stock of units and with changes on the X290 I don’t suppose they’ll make modifications to the X250 panel.

We have had the same issue in recent weeks. Engage cruise control and five other warning lights lit up.

Had it "diagnosed" today and a new instrument cluster will be fitted under warranty.

Two objections:-

fault reported on 18th December 2016 and today was first appointment available, (worse than trying to see your GP)

Why did I have to travel to FIAT Professional in order for them to "diagnose" what is obviously a Very common fault? An eighty mile round trip just for a technician to take one look at the display and agree with my description of what was happening, already given on the phone.

I am told the cluster will be changed while I wait on my next visit, so they are being helpful there, full marks for that, but you would think it would be worthwhile having at least one unit in stock full time, replenishing as necessary.
