The passport for our Dog has a full page still for the worming stamp, but no space left for the Fit to travel stamp.
Has anyone had this problem.
Can I photocopy and insert new page.
Thanks
Malc

I wouldn't risk altering the book, get a new one. You could be stuck at the port unable to board.

You probably should check with your vet before you do it yourself although if you take it into them that's all they will do.

We have already had this with a couple of our dogs' passports but it actually is NOT a problem! ::bigsmile:

All that happens is that the vet writes that they are okay in one of the sections that isn't normally used - the 'fit to travel' bit isn't actually required for return to the UK as it's meant for when 'importing' or 'exporting' permanently/for a long time and non-EU countries, not for pets returning home, but the vets fill it in anyway.

You cannot simply add another sheet of paper and should NOT alter the orignal passport in anyway other than to stick a photo in the front in the appropriate place. Anything else would be classed as defacing it and it would then be invalid.:Eeek:

Our Romy is on to her second passport, her first was filled up totally - even though the vets were doing the health check bit as stated above - once the vaccinations bit gets filled you have no choice but to get a new one so our vet just completed another one, no need for anything else, I think it cost about £30. :)

It is not obligatory to have the 'Clinical Examination' section completed but we have always asked for the Vet to fill it in – we like to get our monies worth and it only takes a few seconds to do.
Once the 'Clinical Examination' pages were full the Vet just turned the page and used the next page (Legalisation) to show that he/she had done a clinical examination.
When those pages were full the Vet turned to the last page in the Pet Passport (Others) and filled that in.
This was acceptable by the Pet Passport Office and we were never told it was wrong.
Eventually the dog needed a new Passport as all pages of the 'Echinococcus Treatment' were filled in and we are now on his second Passport.
Do not add any extra pages because the Pet Passport Officials will not be very happy.
You can carry on using the Pet Passport until the Echinococcus Treatment pages are full.

You need to get your vet to issue a new passport. Be sure to also take the old one with you.
