This is a small Park - 63 pitches - near Fowey, Cornwall. It is immaculately maintained but is currently lacking in customers for the time of year. Has anyone stayed there and what has been there experience.

I am wondering if there is a problem with the place?

Thanks for your feedback.

It does seem to have excellent reviews yet it is quiet for the time of year. Is this the same everywhere? I know that the kids have gone back to school so that should mean an influx of the child-free.

Has everyone cut back this year or has there been a general move to bigger sites with more whistles and bells. It would be great to have an idea of where people have gone this year that is different from the past.

We have noticed on Camp sites and rally's that they are quieter than we would expect, a sign of the times perhaps.

Stayed there about a month ago & it was full, nice little site, clean toilets etc.
10 to 15 minutes walk down to Bodinnick where the Old ferry Inn does good food & has great views over the river, steep walk back up to the site though.

Same as everywhere, Kids gone back to school, Grey Nomads now coming out of August hibernation. Where to go?
Bus at gate:thumb:
Shop for essentials on site:thumb:
Somewhere interesting to Visit nearby:thumb: Like a bus ride (free bus pass!) like Fowey? there's nothing there!:Doh:and what is, is overpriced!
No matter how clean the loos are:Doh: most of the above counts:Cool:

This time of year We wont visit any site that hasn't got Bus at gate, or very near! Pub within reasonable walking Distance, Shop selling Basics MILK etc
Walking distance into Town Village .

That's where the thinking Greys go, the loos could be gold plated, but with none of the above, notice We say NONE of the above THEN it's a no go:thumb:
For us anyway!"

On & off since late70s
Now retired so not tied to specific times and are doing much more wild / free camping.
Weather looks nice, go away, find a place for one night. There does seem to be a far number of folk doing this. Perhaps that's part of why the sites are not full.
