In 2012 we revisited Brittany. We have been here a few times and it's probably our favorite part of France. Easy to get to and one can spend weeks on end exploring this wonderful region.
We came across this Aire, directly on the beach between two campsites and a little south west of Penmarch. A chap would turn up about 8 p.m. and collect €4.00 per motorhome, the daily fee. After he left one or two French motor homes would turn up (LOL). It's a great little spot as it's in a large bay with a long flat white sandy beach and a beautiful place to watch the sun set. Also, at the right time of the year good for catching sea bass.
The guy in the motorhome next to me went fishing on the beach that night for sea bass and although he could not speak a word of English we shared a drop of brandy from my hip flask on the beach as the sun was going down. We were the only people on the beach and the view was priceless. All for €4.00
Not to be missed is the Church in Penmarch with free parking at the Mayors residence a very short walk to the church. It has a long, long history.
