An interesting article on how secure your password is. It is well worth a read as it uses real world password files for the analysis.

I used to have to hack into my colleagues' accounts in their absence (and without their knowledge) and, knowing a little about their personal lives, I could access about 75% within a couple of minutes.
Most of the rest were based on numeric progression: if password1 didn't work, they had probably changed it to password2.

For the few accounts that I couldn't crack, I would wait until their owners came in in the morning and say 'What's the password on your account?'
No-one ever refused to tell me oh:

I use a password generator for my network stuff, just search on google for one.
