Pont du Gard has loads of motorhome parking. Cost about 16 euros per day (per van and includes any entry fees).

Apparently there are two ways of getting to the aquaduct. We went to the large visitor's centre entrance.

Not a lot showing for central Nimes on the CCI site. We camped near Pont du Gard and (I think) we took a bus to Nimes.

If possible it's worth taking a bike around Pont du Gard, especially if it's hot. You'll see more of it before sun gets to you.

To be honest you've not missed much - you can see equally impressive amphitheatres elsewhere like Arles or Verona, and although the Roman temple looks good on the outside they've buggered it up something rotten inside. As a point of useless trivia, Denim material was invented in Nimes - the name is based on 'De Nimes'. Not a lot of people know that.
