Hi all can anyone recommend a wild camping place, or a camp site near Chessington.

The nearest campsite I know of is the C&CC site at Chertsey, sorry but I can't help with wild camping.

Hi all can anyone recommend a wild camping place, or a camp site near Chessington.

Used to live in Chessington.
Now when we go down to visit the Parents we use the Horsley Site.

As Brisey says ..there's also Chertsey and Walton-on-Thames.Wild Camping is difficult in the area as most places are regularly "patrolled".:Sad:

Epsom Downs is a lovely area but I'm sure they patrol that at night too to stop people stopping over..

We have booked a couple nights at Chertsey the weekend after next, its pretty close to chessington and right on the doorstep of Thorpe Park.

The reviews are pretty good for the sight and two nights for 3 people on hard standing with Elecy was £58.

Will happily let you know what its like after we have been if that's before you need to book.
