Well i wondered what all the fuss was about. Its been a bit grey this morning but thats all. I decided to pop into town to buy a charm for our nieces birthday. Been back home 10 mins sky , went black and the heavens have opened. Where has all the wind come from? There wasn't even a breeze here this morning. Even the TV stopped working !
Ive had to put all the lights on its gone that dark.
Hope its not this bad where Ralph is working in Middlesborough near the coast building a substation .
Bad enough the locals nicking his gear and knocking it down as he builds it , without this weather being thrown into the mix. He'll never get the job done and come home .

A couple of weeks ago on Isle of Wight we were on a pitch and heard a loud BANG! on the roof. Followed by more bangs. Looked outside and noticed it was under an oak tree and the acorns were falling onto the roof. Oo er.

Hi, back in 1975 I was sat at a railway crossing waiting for the gates to go up.......................... And it all went dark with an almighty bang. A tree had come down smashed my car roof and killed the Policeman who was waiting in his own car behind me..........Its something I always think about now, and feel very lucky to be here still.

Sound advise Jim. :thumb: Bob.

His mate said you OK because he had stopped, he came down and kept looking at it for the rest of the day still in a state of shock. The first time in 15 years he said. :winky: Not something you want to do everyday I thought.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I have a chain saw and was glad to pay them £300 and us keep the wood. :thanks: Bob.

The local schools have just announced on local radio and by text to parents that they are closing at 2pm as they have been advised to do so due to the weather, and could parents arrange to pick up their children immediately, so my daughter has just left here to go and get her children.

No doubt the Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 will be being closed as well, but whatever they are expecting hasnt arrived here yet though the wind has picked up

I think it may have been the beans that are causing the wind

Buit Tunbridge Wells in Kent is very very wet this afternoon... not nice.
