we are ready to rumble!!!! got everything we need other than 8 days to wait before departure. :Sad:


still we are all excited as we have just had a pm from parc verger.

sun, drink, peace and French life, cant wait. I really cant wait to meet Yodeli for some real life French lessons, and I promise your girl will not be bored for if my sons have to carry her on their shoulders us funsters will ensure she has a good time,

Seriously though - it's only when we're up here in Glossop that we are Rain Gods! Then again it's ALWAYS raining in Glossop so why blame us?

Hi All!


I'd like to know who are the funsters going to Parc Verger with children aged 18 or more.

As i told you in my later post my daughter steph has prob with her achillies tendons. Now we've been obliged to take a wheelchair since she must not walk. She can't sleep as well on a matress cause it's far too near from the ground so i'm trying to take with me a bed on wheels not simple indeed!(plus she's not supposed to go under the sun, because of tablets)
I intend to put the slatted base on a bike carrier on the back of my car(about 15kgs). Can't put the wheelchair there , it's far too heavy. Assuming that everything is working the way i plan it, will it be worth it for her? I told her you were a funny bunch BUT unfortunatly WE are all a bit too old for her(so she thinks!), AND we talk english, will have jokes in that languages. I can't help her seeing things in an optimistic way , she just feels depressed, whatever i tell her. So she would like to come , but on the other hand wonders what she'll do and feels like she is going to spoil my holidays being stuck to me.
So if there are no children , about same age, she might stay home.

I have 1 boy of 12 going on 18

But tell your daughter not to worry and come and enjoy because although all funsters are past the 55 mark, (well most but not the haganaps)

We all have the brains and youthfulness of a 21 yr old, and boy im not joking. Other than Hilldweller (brian) he has the brains of a 90yr old but im sure thats called experience!

And we're as excited as you all are! We've ordered good weather, so PP and the Glossop rainmakers will not have a chance; we have a 20-year old coming, so Steph will not be the only one of her age group; the local boulangerie have been warned that they may need to increase their croissante production; and we've stocked up with extra wine and beers, in readiness for the aperitifs on Sunday lunchtime, when you'll have a chance to meet some of the locals.

Whoopee - only three days until the first arrivals!! have a safe journey, everyone
