The day has finally come where we have to pack down ready for the trip north from our winter quarters here in Benidorm. Load the Smartcar on its trailer and pull the bus onto the wash and wash down, pack everything away and get ready for the off tomorrow. A job I hate doing, made all the worse by smug Smudger, who presses a few buttons, slide outs slide in, levelling jacks go up and he drives off in his gin palace.

Dont worry, we dont catch the ferry until the 11th. Home on the 13th, hospital on the 15th, fly out to Germany on the 17th to pick up the new van. Then take a steady drive back from Germany ready for the Southport rally. The weather should have picked up a bit by then :thumb:.

Couldn't refuse it. There is a couple of viewings on the way home for the 670 but nothing definite as yet. Its not sold till I have some wonda in my hand, but its not been advertised as yet, so am in no hurry. There was a time when I had 3 of them at home, so it would be nothing new to have 2 . I know JJ would like me to keep it so he can use it on his visits to some football club in Manchester.

I sometimes found packing down awkward if the prop had a bit of a beer-gut, as was usually the case. It meant gripping the top of the shorts was tricky but the chances were it was a but more padded when the ball came in.
