Pace ( Javelin ) 1000 SkyBSB Minibox reset ? (1 Viewer)

I would like to force the receiver to do a new search as there are now several channels missing ..
As time has gone by more channels have come on line and are not actually listed
I know it needs to rescan and found it mentioned in a few places, but as yet not been able to get any info on how it is done !

Anyone know or has a manual at all ?

Yes mate.. Well if you mean the new sky card yes...

There are even basic channels missing such as channel 5 !!

Hi Jaws what I have to do with mine, when the van as been in storage for a while, is leave it switched on over night and it sorts itself out.

The tech watch site just jarred me off.. peeps so far up their own cleverness they need a good slap like many other 10 years olds !!


Roy, box has been left on since Friday and no updates.. Freetoview stuff does that but this is a full sky digibox with twin card slots and lots of other bells and whistles ( so I am told ! )

Try Unplugging.
Hold/Press Back-up and Enter buttons together and switch on while continuing to hold the buttons until all lights flash, then release all buttons. Go and make a brew.
It works for me.

Unfortunately John the Pace site was not too helpful.
They no longer list the 1000 .. very very odd I know !

Most of the sites seem to deal with firmware updates rather than simply rescanning the channels

first of all, what software version fdo you have
servcies, 4, 5
it should be 3.7 or 3.8 - if it is then a forced software update (power up with back up button pressed) will not do any good.

(silly thing but have you the card in the correct slot? does the card number show in the viewing card number section of the system details screen?)

what channels are you missing?
sometimes with the new cards some of the channels do not load up correctly, and it is just a case of unplug the receiver, boot it up, instert the card etc and the EPG should eventually load up with all the channels.
