we found our trip had over doubled in price compared to last year and year before, but we ended up booking through C&CC and got quite a good deal and we are 10.5m

Booked the tunnel last week for next Tuesday £162 return, no codes or owt just a straight booking off the website, wouldn't make any odds how long or how many wheels

In fact looked at ferrys as well even though we don't use them if we can help it and some of them were indeed more than the tunnel, could of got slightly cheaper at unholy hours but I was very surprised with the amount of threads we get on here about how much cheaper the ferry is!

Going out 11.45pm on 31st July, 7.5 metres, £58.50 on P and O.
Not bothered when I travel, I have a motorhome so get other side and sleep.
Also, miss all the congestion around London by leaving later.
And thanks for reminding me that I only have just over 6 weeks to wait. :clap2::clap2:

The price will depend on what time/date you want to go and also how far in advance you make the reservation - did you book a lot earlier last time?

From Aug 2007
checked both sides of the date we want to go and its the same date as last years trip

Just remembered something from a good while ago on here, some new EU law came in to affect the running costs of a boat, something about fuel and a prediction that costs would increase.

Just returned from 6 weeks in Europe.
Ferry midday out midday return £101 return.
Tunnel same dates same times £280 return.
7.7 m 5 tonne tag axle.
Much as I like the tunnel I can't justify the price, willing to pay a bit extra but not that much.
Haven't used tunnel for 2 years now for that very reason.
Should have said booked a month before we went.

Something to do with the type of fuel they can use. It's a £££££££ conversion for older boats or they are scrap.
