Oyster Sat Box Connections.. (1 Viewer)

Just fitted the Oyster 85 with Hans remote receiver system.
The box has two scart fittings, two TV in/ out sockets and Two Sat fittings.
Question is.
Are the two Sat connectors , one in and one out to connect to a second receiver or, are they both inputs as this box may have Record Hard drive fitted.

The Sat dish is connected to lower sat connector and using scart out at the moment.

hya i have oyster 85 and the satellite conn are one in and one out on my out one the sky box is conn and will only work if oyster is set to a/v dont have hard drive on mine as it is 2007 ??

Never heard of a hans box, but if the thing hums or makes a noise ( that you can heae when you put your ear to it ) that will be a hard drive, so that would make both the sat connections inputs

The Oyster 85 is just the dish and dish controller S20
What receiver you put on it is open for choices

Sounds like your Oyster had twin outputs to allow recording one channel while watching or recording another?

No.. the Oyster in question has a single LNB, it is the receiver that has the two sockets
You can have a twin LNB fitted ( or indeed fit it your self ) if you would like to be able to watch one channel while recording another.
Some Oyster system have twin feed LNB's too
The Oyster is really just the dish, its machinery and its control box. The LNB fitted is more or less up to the user as is the receiver
