Overnight stay on motorway service staions in Switzerland (1 Viewer)

Hi, does anybody know if the service areas on motorways in Switzerland are as big as in France and Spain,( where we have had no problem parking up for the night),and if it is ok for overnight parking. As we are just passing through Switzerland did not really want to leave the motorway unless really necessary.

Hi ,

I found this by Googling .. might be useful ..

Here is a list of all the stops on the motorways in Switzerland. Altho dated 2006 it should be pretty up to date. Most stops offer gas stations with bountiful convenience stores and often separately restaurants. On this list you will also the overnight possibilities listed on the right hand side.

Apparently you can park anywhere overnight in a camper in Switzerland as long as there isn't a sign saying otherwise and you comply with any local parking signs.
So drop off motorway and go somewhere nice! enjoy!
