Has anyone used the Canterbury PR lately?
Planning to use it the night before Dover / Calais crossing next Thursday. (9.40am)
The Canterbury website indicates it's for MHs up to 4.8m long?
Ours is 7m. will this present me with a problem? Are they bothered?
I've looked at other threads, but they seem to assume we know where the places are or are old posts.
Any advice welcome.
Cheers

I wanted to use this last year but it was closed on a Sunday evening. So we used a CL just on the hill before Dover. It's a handy spot if the PR doesn't work out so Let me know if you need the address.

Thanks, Lucille.
I'll let you know how we get on.
Is the CL a CC / CCC site?
If so, dont you need to be members?

Canterbury P&R

I live in the area and can vouch for the fact that you will get a 7m m/h in ok.
It is closed on Sunday (only to those going in) but you can get out on a Sunday no problems.
So make sure you arrive Saturday
They do close it each evening, an hour after the last bus which is 7.30 from Canterbury.
Verify and pay £2.50 for your ticket just before you are leaving (you can go to town on the bus with the ticket you get at the barrier when you come in) that way if you want to stay for 2 days you can.
You have fresh water, and a disposal tank for waste and Elson- but only one tap so wipe clean and make sure it doesnt go into the Cassette --a practice I have complained about as I have seen Foreign visitors do this and asked for 2 taps.
Public toilets are on site.
There is a nice pub for a meal next door. A weatherspoons in town, in the street behind Wilkensons
I have stayed there many times and meet fellow M/home friends and had a great time in the City.:thumb:
