Hi all we are now near Newport Gwent, booked into a CC clubsite-just as well considering the present weather.
We had 5 nights at St. Davids and one night was terrible, woke at 1.30 am with heavy rain/sleet then hail with a dash of thunder & lightning, a lull for just long enough to start dozing off then strong winds and a repeat performance of rain etc., really quite worrying-in the dark!!!!
We left St. D's in wind & rain which turned to sleet then to snow which slowed up the roads so a 2.5-3 hour journey turned into nearer 5 hours.
Last night was very cold-seems the same all over, off tomorrow to Baltic Wharf providing the weather lets us travel
Still loving this life tho, just need another blanket on the bed tonight:thumb:

Baltic Wharf is a good site, both to catch the bus or ferry into town. Turn left outside the rear gate to the Pub, for better than average bar meals (just!), but grab yourself a pint of that "Blonde". Nectar of the Gods!!!

Good job you came beore it got too cold

Pity you got to rush off, lots to see in the area and Tredegar House CC site is a lovely spot

A vist to the house is worth a go if it,s still open

You think it,s cold here just wait till you get to Baltic Wharf
