As some of you know we lost our little Jack Russell in August, and whilst we were away in Benidorm we decided to have another dog. This is her we pick her up in 2 weeks, she is a 6 week old Cockerpoo and we are naming her Roxy.

Ah ah ah. Roxy is not a mongrel. She is a hybrid. She may be a cross breed as there are a lot now but not a mongrel.
Our little girl is a Cavashon.
Personally, Roxy looks absolutely adorable.

"They" say-& I agree-that 'mongrels' are far stronger than pedigree and do not suffer the ailments etc that pedigree dogs do!
These new crosses-Cocker Poo & the like-are crosses not mongrels!

She is beautiful and a lovely colour!! Our Cockapoo is 16 weeks old and is brilliant! He's adapted so well to the van! All the best for her arrival!!!

Thanks Stacetop that's encouraging about adapting to the van, we saw her mum, brothers and sisters they were all magnificent and very very friendly.

@Neckender we did 1300 miles in 10 days when he was 13 weeks with a different place to stop at each day and he was fab! When I collected him I bought a small easy folding soft dog crate and drove him home in this, then to vets etc so when taking him in the van we put him in it and he was fab! Just got him a larger soft crate now as travelling with a metal one was far too noisy!!

I'm sure Roxy will adapt just as easily, they are a lovely breed?mongrel!!!

John, @Neckender we have just got a small one similar to 26 inch metal crate but to be honest it's slightly smaller (not as high) than I expected but still roomy for him (at the moment) and as its just for travel, bedtimes (although we may stop zipping him in) and being left a short time normally after a walk it should be ok! It's hard to know how much he will grow! The small does fit in the van nicely I think the next size up would make an obstacle!!
