It's the European Health Insurance Card. Yes you will need one for Twin Lakes or anywhere else on your travels abroad ........especially from Wales :D:D It's a form of Health Insurance but doesn't cover all costs .....you still need travel Insurance
    Here's the link...www.nhs.uk/ehic

ps. to check if you need a Visa visit .................:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You might need them in Scotland soon but only if it stays in the EU! However, I guess if they do go independent there will be some sort of reciprocal arrangement with rest of the former UK, otherwise you really will need travel insurance to visit.
One of many issues yet to be resolved if the Yes vote wins.
Think I might go full timing in Europe for a couple of years and come back when it is all over. I lived in Kuwait for a while and completely missed the rise and fall of the Spice Girls. Bliss.

There is now a brilliant free EHIC app for the iPhone to compliment your card. It explains in detail the procedure for each country and other useful info. Not sure if they do it for android too. (y)

    They do indeed.

Search the App Store for EHIC. The app is actually produced by the European Commission.

Got that android app and you can set yourself a reminder of the expiry date. Very useful.

Whilst checking the expiry date on your EHIC might be a good idea to check your driving licence too - it is easily done yet quite a hefty fine for letting the photocard run out of date. Also, particularly if planning to be abroad for a lengthy period, check expiry dates on your bank cards or you could get caught out. Many banks will only send replacements to your home address but will obligingly renew your card early on request.
