Situated under a panel between the cab seats. I thought it was some kind of filter at first but now I'm not so sure.

I think its top of fuel tank, pump and guage fitted there. Fiat chassis.

Let's hope the hose at the filling station is long enough

The Ducato has a plastic tank that sits under the seating area.

That's the feed and return pipes, breather and contents gauge.

Very useful I now know where to tap into the fuel pump wiring with the mobiliser from the tracker.
Switches the fuel pump off from a text message when the GPS detects vehicle has stopped.
Will I be brave enough to actually connect it all up and introduce another point of failure?

Just a note of warning to anyone thinking of interrupting the fuel pump.
Apparently a high pressure injector pump can suck the fuel through without the fuel pump in the tank running.
Whether it will startup without the tank pump running is yet to be seen.
Apparently an alternative is to interrupt the power to the inertia switch but further research needed there as well.
A little bit of knowledge could be a dangerous and expensive thing. Perhaps I should leave it all alone and stop meddling.

Still considering doing that on mine but it would be better to connect it to the relay that controls the fuel pump.
