Our old Elddis - up for retirement this year - came back today from hire. The people that hired it are old hands, having had campers/caravans all their lives.

They reported that next to them was another hire van, a brand new one. The people spend all week trying to bung up holes in this new vans as they were freezing cold, with draughts coming in everywhere!

Our customers were warm as toast, all night!:thumb: So that is one up for the old van! It does worry me due to its' age, but I cannot find a good enough replacement for it.

Must say though, we have noticed whilst shopping around for its' replacement, that newer van build quality is very poor in comparison. We have yet to find one as comfortable, as all the customers remark on what a good nights sleep they have.

We had an Elldis Autostratus years ago and at Braemar in February with snow up to axles, we were lovely and warm, just using a 1Kw fan heater. We didn't use the gas heater at all. They must have been well insulated.
