We are one month in to a 2 year wander around Europe. We chose to head south as the birds do and are now in very sunny Lagos - Portugal. I have just spent couple of minutes analysing where we spent some of our hard earned in the last 30 days.
130 Euro on 16 nights on camp sites (14 for free.) (Expensive here in Touristcampo but 10 days over Christmas is excusable.)
20 Euro on LPG (Its been cold up in the mountains.)
135 Euro on deisel (Getting 28.9 MPG - left UK nearly full and now nearly empty)
105 Euro in bars, restaurants and cafes (Well its nearly Christmas)
130 Euro on wine and beer from supermarkets (See above)
181 Euro on grub (Great big duck in the fridge for Christmas lunch.)
30 Euro for 4.5 Gb Internet access. (1.5Gb Spanish Vodaphone sim and 3 Gb Portuguese NOS sim - both only half used.)
Plus a load more on odds, ends and frivolities such as Christmas presents for Mrs Jansellsbond and for the Autosleeper Broadway. (oh and me ;)
Merry Christmas Funsters

You need taking in hand, ie
Leaving UK full of Diesel,
Even more heinous 30 Euro on wifi. That would get you 12Gb with 3 'Feel at Home' that lasts for 12 months.

Thanks for the offer but there are extenuating circumstances you have not considered:
Have you ever drove off the ship in a new country to find that it is "Saint Watchamacallitts" day and everything even Lidl is closed? Jansellsbond has! and Mrs Jansellsbond will not let him forget it.
'3 Feel at home cuts you off after a few weeks abroad. We are on the long term travel with no prospect of coming back anytime soon to good old Blightey to refresh the sim.

Done the first, (and still got the scars from SWMBO tongue ) BUT we still got fuel. The second one I would have still got it and hang the consequences. It would have still been cheaper.
