Left home in Yorkshire on 20th July on a road trip to culminate in Malvern for the Great Western Show. Have visited Northamptonshire, Surrey, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Worst campsite - Mount Pleasant at Hurn near Bournemouth. It should be named Mount Hell; full of touring static caravans in awful condition and the whole site had an oppressive and desperate feel to it. Best campsites; Torkington Farm (a CL site just off the M1); Yeomans Road, Throop Bournemouth (lovely level field, fantastic wardens, and a stones throw from Castlepoint shopping centre. Very basic facilities but I would definitley return); Bath Marina Caravan Park; Glastonbury Cottages and Caravanning (small site directly underneath the Tor and a 30min walk from the town and the Tor). Saw Van Morrison at Glastonbury Abbey on Saturday night (6th August) which was amazing.
Am loving my van, travelling and seeing beautiful Britain with my little dog Bruno. Happy days ;-)
