Has anyone ever fitted these to an awning. They are the stick on ones in metre lengths. I have just bought the 5 m length which sticks to the underside off the awning. It will not stick.

On the Omnistor website they are shown stuck on the alloy awning case pointing down but try as I may I cannot get them to stick.

Any ideas?

Thanks

many many years! since I was a kid
this is exactly the same lights as available on EBay for about £10 per 5m. it has double sided sticky tape on the back, which is a real pain to get to stick. you need to ensure the surface is dry warm and free from any dirt or dust.

in my experience its best to use rubbing alcohol wipes to clean and prepare the surface, then warm it with a hair dryer before trying to install the tape. If youve already peeled the backing off and tried to stick it up but failed, you need to buy some more 3M type double sided tape. apply it to the back of the light first then follow instructions above
