One year. A whole one!
Udo doesn't have a working stereo. Yet.

I rarely listen to the stereo when driving my cars as I rather like the noise of their engines...

However, on the occasions when this scenario has occurred, yes, I also turn the stereo down or off.

That's as bad as not being able to hear someone across a room if you don't have your glasses on.

Have you noticed the difference between a front seat passenger who is a driver & one who isn't?

A driver in the passenger seat will automatically pause the conversation at roundabouts, junctions & the like. I don't think it's a conscious 'I won't talk while he concentrates on this bit' thing - they are mentally 'driving' too & are watching the road themselves. Non-drivers just rabbit on & then wonder why you stopped listening for a while.

I tend not have the radio on when I'm driving. If I'm negotiating 3.5t of metal through UK traffic, I feel I owe it to my fellow man to give the task in hand all the attention I can muster. I also quite like to live myself.

On and off for many years.
Radio is always on mute as the traffic info still comes through - and if it isn't relevant I mute that as well. I just can't concentrate on te road 100% with the radio on.

And yes, I need my glasses on to hear what people say as I need to see their lips move!

It's a problem in our van, as the beer holder is just in front of the radio volume button.
