oooohhhh, excited, booked my holiday today leaving Wednesday the 24th Feb and coming back on the 8th March.....

Just not sure where to go?

Was thinking Austria? maybe

so thinking the Dolomites, too
OMG i'm so excited I need someone to chose for me, anyone else going them dates? would love some company now my boys have moved on.

Hya Paul, we done Austria last year, visited Saltzburg first then Innsbruck via Berchestgarden (Hitlers Eagles Nest), had a couple nightss in Munich enjoyed all of it, if you want advice on sites etc let us know.

First stop, Monchau, down to Cochem, along the Mosel to the Rhine ferry at Boppard, Down the Rhine through Rudesheim and through the Black Forest to the Swiss border, don't cross it but follow it to Mittenwald and into Austria.
Stop when you fancy.
You tend to have to pay a few Euro's to stay over in the StellPlatz

We did it last Christmas, it was heaven!

We went to kitzbuhel last year and it was fabulous. Going to canazei (Val di fassa) Dolomites this year - friends been a few times and say it great. Love the Austrian apres ski, it leaves all others behind imho. Can't help with sites as we fly and do the catered chalet thing. You'd have been welcome to meet up with us as there are 10 of us and all grown up children left back in the uk but we go 30th Jan.

We're heading away on the 24th unfortunately not in the van but to Malta to run the Marathon, hopefully going skiing March time.
