I have a 2.0 HDI on a 05 plate, when it was serviced last year the garage was unable to turn off the service required symbol on the dash as the high oil warning was showing ,and said that the sender was faulty.I was told that the oil was not high which I confirmed by dipping it. Now that the service is coming up in the next couple of months I would like to replace the sender.
Has anyone any info or insight in doing this job ie correct diagnosis, position of sender, sourcing of part etc.
Thanks in advance Chris

On our Elddis Autoquest 100 (2.0 HDI engine, 04 plate) the oil high warning sometimes used to show. I and the mechanic we use both dipped it to check and it was always correct on the dipstick. That being the case I didn't worry about it.

Will an OBDII read clear it?

I wonder if an OBDII reader will clear the issue.. as it will clear the codes.. not sure if it would turn the lamp off or not?

Just a thought.
