Just before it started to rain I climbed up on the roof to clean the outside of a couple of Heki roof lights. This resulted in me scrubbing the roof as well but there were parts of the roof light I could not get a cloth too.

So to clean it throughly (?) can I pull out the hinge pins?

I tied a piece of rag in the centre of a 6ft length of cord. Used a garden cane to push one end of the cord under the hinges and then pulled the rag back and forth.

I have pushed the hinge pins out of the Heki on our AutoTrail with no trouble and put them back again.

I did the same and with a lot of care was able to remove the roof light(not the frame) and give the roof around the roof light a good clean also the clear plastic should find details on the web
