I thought the OP wanted somewhere near Manchester... not stuck out somewhere like Salford or Stretford... :Rofl1::Rofl1:

but at least a RV on that pitch wouldn't make it any worse...

I've looked in the Big Pitch Guide and the RV friendly site and can't see any RV suitable pitches in Manchester, if you find one do let us know:thumb:

The nearest the Big Pitch Guide could find was a C & CC CS at

    Lane End Farm
    Lane End
    Hopwood
    Heywood
    Lancashire
    OL10 2JE

    Email: malcolm@arrowoils.co.uk

    Site Owner/s: Mr & Mrs M Yates

    Phone: 01706 365551

But I cannot tell you if they will take an RV or not.

There is another one at Saddleworth but again I cannot tell you if they will take an RV:

Burrs counrty park is the nearest, it has a bus stop at the top of the road by the pub, the only other one i know in the area is at warburton bridge near warrington but i wouldnt recomend it personally, it can take big units but it also on occasion floods and the site has been known for trouble in the past, reviews of it on uk campsite are also not good. There are no sites actually in manchester

Burrs park is ideal posh but pricey and a fast 20 minute tram to the centre of Manchester not far from Bury Black pudding stall on the market

Stopped at Lane End every summer for last three years with our 5er and is used regularly by another RV, convenient for buses to M/C & Bury etc. Facilities are a little basic but include shower, electric,WC, chem. disposal. Some road noise from M62 but not a problem for us, imagine it's the sea, £10 a night.

Been busy this year & essential to ring or email first as turning space can be limited if full but has never been a problem to us, very nice friendly owners.
