    Why?
Surely no different to a bike rack or scooter?

Put a car or 2 motorbikes on a trailer, same thing. No requirement to cover/remove the plates.

Lights on blue mini would have to work & duplicate van. The number plate on the mini would have to be the van's one & the "overhanging load " board would have to be fitted as the lights on mini are too far in from extremities of van to comply with the C& C regs ,I'd have thought. Therefore it would be classed as a back box & not as an integral part of van

Quite correct but the last number plate would be the trailers which would make it legal & in this case it isn't until you change the mini one for the same as van.

The 'blue mini ' is acting as a back box & requires what I put in first post.

You see car transporters with (used) cars hanging over the back all the time.

First thing I thought is that people will get so engrossed in admiring it & seeing all the subtle bits that are in the layout that they won't notice the brake lights come on ! :D

& obviously they'd had a crack down as all the ones I saw in the UK this summer had the cars registrations criss-crossed with black tape.

I can't believe a fun, look what I've just seen thread isn't it clever, can possibly be highjacked by negative comments again!1 :(:( why does EVERY thread have to have some downer put on it. Motorhome FUN forum not Motorhome MISERY forum.
