Is this the answer to our dreams? Slot into the convoy and arrive refreshed. Rather not be tail-end Charlie and let someone else do the piloting.

But what may happen if you oversleep? End up in the wrong country?

VW had this working maybe ten years ago. I remember three cars trundling round their test track with no drivers.

    Good idea.

Great stuff, although a little bit scary!

I have to admit, I've never really had many thoughts towards Volvo's, apart from the old Police T5's in the 90s.

But whilst our Land Rover is being repaired, we've got a brand new Volvo XC60 D5 R-Design.

WOW! It's an amazing car, really amazing, I was shocked at how advanced the interior is and also how good a car to drive it is. I've been lucky to have (and still have) some pretty luxury cars over the last couple of years and this is right up there with it. And being a 215bhp Twin Turbo Diesel, it picks it's skirt up and runs like the clappers!

I can see how they are on the forefront of technology with their auto pilot! :thumb:

I'm looking forward to the scary future!
