Have a good trip, hope the weather improves as you go North. Our friends near Calais were having better weather than us here in Basse Normandie.

Hi John,

N. & S. left us at about 6. Yes, raining on and off here yesterday and today - didn't dampen spirits though!

Whereabouts are you in relation to us - near Barenton?

Hi,

we live 4km South of Buais, in the middle of the countryside at the end of a narrow road. ( hence purchase of a small Camping car). We know of St Cyr as we have friends who live just outside Barenton, and used to have friends with a B&B at St George de Rouelly. I believe there is an Auberge at St Cyr, as we have customers who have mentioned it as being very good.

Think I'm causing a muddle here, lol! This is stcyr, in St.Cyr (we're on the church square, opposite the Auberge). Norman & Sue called in to see us yesterday and today and are now on their way towards Calais ... they're probably tucked up by now, they had a gruelling couple of days experiencing french village life at close quarters! :thumb:

Hi,

realised my mistake and tried to alter post accordingly. Must be suffering from after dinner confusion. Sorry

Haha! A.D.C. goes with the territory! No probs! Hope to bump in to you some time (figuratively speaking!).
And yes, the Auberge is superb. Changed hands recently. Very popular for major events like weddings/christenings etc. St.Cyr also boasts 'Chez Jannick', 'restaurant-ouvrier', menu a 11e20 - excellent!
