We start our 6 week tour on 18th April and plan to go down our usual route to Spain. We usually go non toll via Rouen-Orleans-Montlucon-Clermont Ferrand and then the A75. I've always found it difficult to find a route bypassing Montlucon. I usually approach it using the D943 or D2144 and usually end up going through the town to exit onto the D2144 south. We could use the N145 to get around most of it but in order to get back onto the D2144 we still end up going part way into the town. Are there any easier routes or do I just stick to the route described.
