My nokia E61 on an orange paygo simm card is driving me up the wall.
1) Whenever I turn the phone on I get the message "new voicemail on line one", when I listen voicemail tells me no new massages, but of course charges me. I got orange to turn voicemail off and still get the same message
2)After I cancel that message another one pops up "allow simm card to send message"
anyone any ideas what the hell is going on. I don't use the phone to make a lot of calls and only top up one every 3 months or so, never use the free internet or hardly any of the free texts. however I do have the phone switched on most days in case someone wants to book a pitch at the CL.
After I mislaid my phone a few weeks back I got a new simm card from Orange and once I recoverd my phone and changed the simm for the new one the problem continued so it does not appear to be the simm card at fault. what else can I check. I'm tired of calling customer support only to be told the same things without curing the problem.
