Have you tried making your motorhome quieter when travelling?

We've bought a Merc Sprinter and it is very quiet when still but very noisy when travelling the engine growls and there is a reasonable amount of road noise - in my opinion, too noisy. I've had it looked at and the there does not appear to be any mechanical issue, just not enough sound insulation.

I've searched the web and this company comes up: http://www.noisekillergb.com/campervan_products.asp

The reviews are good but could I get better sound insulation for less than the £200 for the kit that they sell?

Anyone had any experience of using it?

Cheers

I've had the NK sound insulation fitted and can recommend it. If you want to do the job yourself I think they also sell DIY kits. Fitting the carpet in the cab and the engine blanket are relatively easy to do but I didn't fancy taking the door cards off. One additional advantage with the engine cover is that it overcomes the Fiat water feature.
