So last night we stayed at the aire at Monsaraz described in the 'All the Aires' book as having 'the best view of any Aire in Portugal' All very well but we saw b****r all cos of the low cloud

And today passed through areas in Central Portugal which were waterlogged and there was evidence of many fallen trees!

Marvao Aire has nice views and a lovely castle to look around.

We had been going to Portugal for the last 6 years, and went last year.
Always in the past been put off by the weather, oh:
Must say loved Portugal, cheaper than Spain dogs allowed on the fantastic beaches, and the people friendly but struggled a bit with the language.
And the red wine . :thumb: Used the Spanish wine we had with us to clear the drains. :thumb:

But last year was not that great anywhere, but may have been better on the Costa Blanca.

The next time we go to Portugal, it will be March April May, and hopefully the locals will not be walking round carrying umbrellas. Bob.

Even though we still have some cloud in the Algarve it is shirt sleeve weather and forecast to get better. Our daughter came for four days and said wow it is warm, mind you she is now back in Todmorden where it is barely 2 Degrees

This morning was one of the hottest mornings this year in Benidorm. Sat outside enjoying it and suddenly the sea mist rolled in. All the buildings were swathed in mist and the temperature plummeted . Thankfully now the sun has burnt the mist off.:thumb:
