Has anyone used nitrogen in their tyres? if so, can you give pros and cons.

I'd be interested in any reply.

AFAIK around 78% of air is nitrogen, so I can't see how increasing that to 100% will make any marked difference to anything when it comes to tyres (always assuming you can get rid of any residual "air" in the tyre before filling it with nitrogen, that is).

My understanding is 100% (ish) nitrogen gives more stable type pressures, ideal for motorsport, pointless for the road.

many many years! since I was a kid
unless your driving a rally car or F1, there is absolutely no benefit to be had by filling tyres with 100% nitrogen.... a total ripoff

My guess is that it would be a waste of money ..... every time you you have to top-up the pressure you would dilute the nitrogen unless you take in to a tyre specialist every time.
