I've been interested in doing these for a while and finally got round to having a go last night. I need to do a bit of refining with settings, but I'm pleased with this. Two films joined together, over 800 separate images makes 41 seconds of film....

Best viewed at highest settings (1080p or 720 HD)

Fantastic, must try it with ours tonight as dark skies here with no nearby street lights.

If you have a GoPro Hero 4, the settings I used for mine are, set to Night Lapse, 12mp wide, 30 second shutter, Interval Continuous, Spot-off, Protune-on, 800 iso, White Balance natural.
Mine was running for about 3 hours with a battery bacpac attached.
Good luck

that's excellent, any idea what the flash was in the trees on RHS at about 16 secs, at one point I could se individual frames then lost that, not sure how I got them or lost them

very impressive, great location with the trees

The view is across the back garden. The flash at 16 seconds I think is one of the security lights ( we have all sorts of animals in and out of the garden that set them off) and at 23 seconds, top left was the Mother in Laws bedroom light.
