Anyone know where we can lay up for the night close to Newhaven.

Yes in a word

Come out of Newhaven on the Seaford road.. A259 go through Seaford towards Eastbourne.. You come to a mini roundabout there is a garage over at 2 o'clock position.. there is a leisure centre on the left as you approach this min roundabout.. turn left go past the crematorium on your left climb the hill.. you are going towards Alfreston .. at the top of the hill on the right is a parking area.. no height barriers.. fantastic views over three bays in the day time.. it is no more than 10 minutes from the Newhaven docks.
